The urgent need to care for the mental health of essential healthcare workers amid COVID-19
For Mental Health Awareness month, we examined the impact of COVID-19 on the mental health and well-being of physicians and medical staff from their perspectives.
We used this opportunity to ask about the challenges and issues affecting respondents personally, in their own words and look to these medical professionals to diagnose the resources, services or support, that would be most beneficial from brands to better support the mental health and wellness of essential workers at this time. Although results from this analysis effectively captures a moment in time amid the peak of the COVID-19 health crisis, we believe it also suggests a long-term view for health brands to protect the well-being of their employees, their business and brand, through various stages of this pandemic.
The learnings from this report should be beneficial to all brands needing to protect the mental health and well-being of their employees, as well as their business and brand value, as this health and economic crisis continues.
